For Parents Choosing the right high school for your daughter is one of the most
important decisions and greatest investments your family will make. In
addition to the information provided in the student brochure, reviewing
the following information will help you make the right choice for your
daughter.
“We chose Maria for our daughter because it's small and friendly. Maria
offers great academic programs, the teachers really care for the
students, and our daughter receives a strong sense of discipline.” Mrs. Randazzo, mother of Marie ’08
Tuition
-
Because of contributions from alumnae and other friends of Maria, we
are able to keep tuition affordable at $6400 for the 2005-2006 school
year. It is an all-inclusive tuition, which means that the school
provides textbooks for the students. Also, there is no mandatory
fundraising!! The Business Office Staff will help you select the payment
plan that will meet your needs.
-
A non-refundable $200 tuition deposit is required at the time
of registration; this amount is deducted from the total tuition balance.

Financial Assistance Information
-
For the 05-06 school year, 40% of our students will receive tuition
assistance amounting to $500,000.
-
Students/families interested in applying for financial aid must
demonstrate financial need by completing a CATHOLIC SCHOOL TUITION
ASSISTANCE APPLICATION by March 15th, 2006.
-
Current Maria students’ sisters receive a discount.
-
In addition, Maria offers tuition assistance to families in three
ways: 1. Work Study Program: Students work at school during summer and after
school hours to pay part of their tuition. 2. Financial Aid Program: Families who qualify receive partial grants
toward tuition. 3. Scholarships: Academic scholarships: The top ten scorers on the entrance exam
receive a partial scholarship of $1000. An additional $500 is awarded to
the top two scorers. These scholarships are automatically renewed if the
students maintain a 3.5 grade point average. Alumnae Scholarships: Daughters of Maria alumnae may apply for a
one-year $500 award. Parish Scholarships: Top scorers coming from Maria’s area parishes
receive a one-year $1000 award.
As your daughter continues her education at Maria, there are several
individuals and organizations that offer scholarships to Maria students
based on academic accomplishments and/or financial need.
Disclaimer: In order to protect students’ individual eligibility,
schools of the Archdiocese of Chicago support the policies of the
Illinois High School Association. In doing so, Maria High School may not
promise or offer athletic scholarships of any kind. Violations may
result in loss of eligibility for the student, coach, or school.
