WELCOME to Maria High School where young women prepare for LIFE! Maria is an all-girls comprehensive college-prep Catholic High School (98% of our graduates are accepted into College) located on the southwest side of Chicago at 6727 South California Avenue, right next to Holy Cross Hospital. Our school is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Casimir, whose mission is to teach and evangelize, care for the sick, the aging, and share Christ's special love for the poor.
Since it first opened its doors in 1911, Maria has educated thousands of young women. These women have gone on to make a difference in their families, neighborhoods, churches, and world.
At Maria, young women find many opportunities to develop their self-confidence, leadership skills, prepare for college, express themselves, and make an impact in the school as well as in the wider community.
Maria is small enough that students can receive individual attention while receiving a broad range of opportunities and courses offered by larger schools, including a strong college preparatory program, numerous offerings in the Fine and Applied arts, 9 interscholastic sports, and a wide range of co-curricular activities. At Maria, young women find many different ways to become self-confident and ready to embrace whatever comes after high school. We are the road to success for women who will make a difference in the world.
