With Maria High School President Wendy Lynn, far left, and the Rev. Terry Deffenbaugh, OSA, seniors Joselyn Uribe, Ashanti McCall, Guadalupe Avila, Eleanore Bacani, Faviola Anaya, Brianna Terrell, Evelyn Alvarado, Diana Trujillo, and Julie Pater await being commissioned as auxiliary ministers of communion at the Centennial All Saints Liturgy. Prior to presiding at the liturgy on November 1, Father Terry had blessed the crosses that symbolize the ministers’ commitment, after which Mrs. Lynn presented the crosses to the ministers. Maria High School Campus Minister Judy Bumbul prepared the students for their commissioning.
Maria High School community members were also involved on November 5 at the Sisters of St. Casimir Motherhouse to celebrate the St. Casimir-Maria High School All Souls Mass/Mass for the Beatification of Venerable Servant of God Maria Kaupas. The celebrant was the Rev. Msgr. Dennis Lyle, S.T.D. A reading of the names of the Remembered, which were compiled by Maria High School Alumnae Coordinator Michelle Brown, took place before the Mass. A reception in the auditorium followed the liturgy.
