Guidance

The Maria High School Guidance Department works as a team to provide information and advise students in choosing a challenging course load that prepares them for college.  The Guidance Counselors partner with parents or guardians, teachers, and administrators to encourage students to excel not only academically but personally.  They foster the growth of each student by providing meaningful presentations on high school success, college, career choices, and a variety of topics that prepare students for the future.  Through the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Model, the Guidance Counselors help students focus on academic, personal/social and career development so they achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.
