The Science Department at Maria High School provides a comprehensive physical and life science curriculum which focuses on the critical and analytical thinking skills necessary for the preparation for both higher education and future career experience. Generating hypotheses, creating experiments, making conclusions are common practices in all science courses. The Science Department also encourages students to become better problem-solvers through problem-based and inquiry-based learning strategies. These practices and strategies allow students to take ownership of the material and connect that material to real-life experiences.
