After the Entrance Exam
-
Maria High School will require your elementary school records. Please make sure your parents sign and complete the records release form, which should be sent to your elementary school. They will send the records directly to us.
-
The letters of acceptance will be mailed the second week in February along with other important information. Make sure you and your parents complete all forms and gather all the materials requested for registration.
-
Attend the tuition information session with your parents; Maria staff will answer all your questions. The session will be held in March. You will receive an invitation.
-
Come to registration day in February 27 with all the requested documents and a $150.00 non-refundable registration fee, which will be applied to the first year of tuition. On this day, your daughter will be measured for her uniforms. (In addition, gently used uniforms are also available at a lower cost.)
Tuition & Assistance (Financial Aid and Scholarship)
- Tuition for the 2010-11 school year will be $6,950
-
For the 08-09 school year, 60% of our students received tuition assistance amounting to over $500,000.
-
Students/families interested in applying for financial aid must demonstrate financial need by completing a CATHOLIC SCHOOL TUITION ASSISTANCE SERVICE APPLICATION by March 15th, 2010. These forms will be available.
-
Current Maria students’ sisters receive a discount.
-
In addition, Maria offers tuition assistance to families in three ways:
- Work Study Program: Students work at school during summer and after school hours to pay part of their tuition.
- Financial Aid Program: Families who qualify receive partial grants toward tuition.
- Scholarships:
-
Academic scholarships: The top ten scorers on the entrance exam receive a partial scholarship of $1,000. An additional $500 is awarded to the top two scorers. These scholarships are automatically renewed if the student maintains a 3.5 grade point average.
-
Alumnae Scholarships: Daughters of Maria alumnae may apply for a one-year $500 award.
-
Parish Scholarships: Top scorers coming from Maria’s area parishes may apply for a one-year $1,000 award.
-
Maria Kaupas Scholarships: Students demonstrating financial need (as per Catholic School Tuition Assistance Service Application) and academic potential may be invited to apply to participate in this scholarship program. The program includes financial and academic support as well as student and parent/guardian commitment to the program to insure that the student scholar will be successful at Maria. Each student participating in this program will receive up to $4,000 in tuition assistance each year provided she remains a student in good standing and keeps to her commitment.
- As your daughter continues her education at Maria, there are several individuals and organizations that offer scholarships to Maria students based on academic accomplishments and/or financial need.
