Admission Requirements

Admission Procedues for Incoming Freshman for the 2012-2013 School Year

1. Take the Entrance Exam (the EXPLORE test) at Maria High School on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 8am
Prospective MHS students must take the exam at Maria High School to be considered  for admission or academic scholarships.  The cost for the test is $25.  To read more about the exam, including practice questions, click here. 

2.  Send grammar school records to MHS, including 7^th and 8^th grade report cards in addition to standardized test scores from 7th grade.   Click here for a records release form to take to your school.

Notification of acceptance will be given during the second week of February 2012.  Maria High School bases admission on the folowing criteria: score on the entrance examination, previous academic performance, future potential, and ability to adhere to MHS policies and procedures.   Maria High School does not discriminate with regard to race, creed, or religion, national origin, sex, disability, or color in admission decisions. 

Registration for admitted students will take place in March of 2012.  A $200 non-refundable deposit is required.
